A Password to Jesus
The Ministry of Global Pastor Training used the Gospel Boxes during a workshop in East Africa. These pastors from Mwanza, Tanzania wrote mission plans for how they would use the boxes. One mission plan that was submitted and then given a set of the Gospel Boxes, read in part, “The Box is not boring about time…When I use the Box with its different colors it helps me tell people very quickly to listen and to understand who is Jesus Christ. So, the Box is like our friend and our password in teaching about Jesus in these last days.”

Helping Others Share the Gospel
The Reverend Reagan Cocke led a St. John the Divine Family Retreat based on the book, Sticky Faith: Everyday Ideas to Build Lasting Faith in Your Kids by Dr. Kara E. Powell & Dr. Chap Clark. After exploring different ways to develop faith in the family, Rev. Cocke used the Gospel Boxes for his sermon message on Sunday. After giving each family a Gospel Box set of their own, he encouraged each of the 30 families to use their own box set to teach their children the true Gospel message & to get comfortable sharing their faith with others.

“Oh my! My daughter (15) has been struggling with her faith for a long time. I shared the boxes with her and asked her when I was done, “What do you think? Is this a good way to present the gospel?” She said, “Yeah, that’s cool.” “Do you believe any of this stuff?” “Yes, I do believe. BUT….I have a really hard time with the concept of what happens to us after death. Like, I get that kids have had NDE (Near Death Experiences) and seen the light of God, I just don’t know for sure what happens to us. It’s a tough concept for me to grasp, Mommy.”

The Night of the Boxes!
“Recently I had the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection in less than thirty minutes! Asian friends had come to say goodbye the night they were returning home to their own country. They were not allowed to stay in the United States any longer, so I asked them if I could pray for them before they left. Hesitating, they responded by nodding politely. I invited them to sit down and I began by explaining to them why I would be praying in the name of Jesus. Attempting to tell them why this was important, my daughter spoke up and said, “Why don’t you use the boxes?” “What a great idea!” I thought, so I quickly said a silent prayer and began to demonstrate using the boxes. My daughter plus a Christian house guest who was visiting were also praying, l knew. After finishing, we hugged them goodbye, all the while praying that God would water and cultivate the seed that was planted.
